
Brian Miller
director of operations
A cornerstone of the Murphy team, Brian has been with Murphy for a long time, having officially joined the company in 2005 as a forklift operator. However, his connection to the company goes back even further, to 1992, when he worked on special projects and summer maintenance. Over his two-decade career at Murphy, he has held a variety of roles, including Operations Manager, Manager of Operations & Quality, and Safety Manager, before being promoted to his current position in 2021. He has been a key player in the company’s expansion, successfully starting up new locations in Kansas City, Missouri, Ames Iowa, and Avon New York. His expertise includes warehouse operations, food safety, and employee and labor management.
Brian’s extensive experience is supported by numerous certifications, particularly in food safety, with training in Preventive Controls for Human Food and Principles of HACCP. He is also a certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor and holds various OSHA and safety certifications, including the 10-Hour General Industry Safety and Health and OSHA 511.
He holds a degree in Marine and Small Engine Repair from Alexandria Technical College.
